HUgEやThem magazineで経験を積み、2018年に独立した編集者、大城壮平が手がけるメンズファッション/カルチャー誌「VOSTOK」の第四号。「ファッション雑誌なんて何の意味があるだろう。」という一文で始まるように、本号は新型コロナウイルスの影響により一変した社会状況を受け、ファッション雑誌の在り方について根本的に問い直して制作された一冊となった。これまで毎号設けてきたテーマ設定もなされておらず、寄稿者数もこれまで以上に絞って構成されている。

The 4th issue of men’s fashion/culture magazine “VOSTOK” by Sohei Oshiro, an independent editor in 2018 after gaining experience at HUgE and Them magazine.
As it begins with the sentence, “What is the meaning of fashion magazines?”, this issue is produced by fundamentally reexamining the way fashion magazines should be in response to the social situation that has changed completely due to the impact of the new coronavirus. It became a book that was done. The theme that has been set for each issue so far has not been set, and the number of contributors has been narrowed down more than ever.
